Quilt-ober is over!

Phew, what a month of quilting October was!

Finished the third baby quilt (luckily the birthday party wasn't until 29th) whilst on stay-cation in the hills of Ferguson :)

Again I have to thank favequilts.com for sending me some awesome quilt patterns, cos this again is from their fabulous quilters/bloggers who share their quilts for free.

Called Arizona Sun (using the Anvil block), this quilt was the first that I sandwiched and pinned by myself and what a traumatic experience!  I'll obviously need more instruction from the ladies at my patchwork club.

Still, I love the way it looks with the bottle green as the background & the colours in the white "Hello" triangle helped me select the other fabrics :)
Almost finished the binding - 'scuse the blur!
Adore the backing - the giraffes are part of a brilliant panel I picked up but had to sash them to fit :)

So now, as the end of November looms large I'm off to the sewing room to complete the utensil wraps I'm making for a friend and to get my November themed hexagon sew-a-long completed!
