2010 Carols by Candelight at Burswood - my fave of all the Carols locations here in Perth due to the animals and the bagpipers who climb scaffolding in their kilts :)
Trying to take photos from a moving car whilst going down a rather steep incline makes it tricky to get the sun before it enters the clouds. Failed dismally in that endeavour but still quite like the way this look moving down the Coalfields Highway towards Bunbury.
But that's what they reminded me of as the sun was setting from Paul's temporary accommodation in the heart of Bunbury

The Hunter Valley, including Branxton, is one of the oldest settled sites in NSW, after Sydney and Newcastle. Cruised around the cemetry after visiting Grandpa and took some photos of the cool headstones that can be found in a town which is known for having two cemetries and no hospital.

A last visit to Grandpa: We washed and polished him, took him new flowers and everyone got a little teary not knowing when we might get back to see him as a trio

The Cindy Tree: So named cos it's where my Nan's faithful dog, a cocker spaniel, was interred after she died. And one has to say that this little lime tree has certainly never looked back since Cindy joined it :)

Sadly none of these roses could make the trip to Newcastle, but they have given us many years pleasure and will hopefully do the same for the new owners.
After 20 or so years in Branxton, Nanna is upping stumps and downsizing to a unit in Newcastle. so my next few photos will be a look at her home in the Hunter Valley.
A new development near my Mum's place in Qld and boy do I want to live here so that I could really have pixies at the bottom of the garden. Cos surely the developers wouldn't be misnaming their streets?
It rained practically the whole time I was in Qld, but after being nearly drowned in another downpour I caught the light reflecting off the water in the road, so all good
The Catholic church really does have all the best spots - this is looking out to Penguin Is, Rockingham, one street away from where I was doing some agency work. Whilst I definitely need a tripod and to look at the instructions on the best ISO etc. for night photos I still loved the way this looked.
One of the places, in Subiaco, that I have done agency work. First time I worked there I never even noticed this building, the second time I saw it and was just touched by the name and the third time I purposely took my camera !
Sad but inevitable considering my boots were over 10 years old, but it would've been nice to get a second OS trip for them. They definitely wouldn't have survived Kokoda though :)
I don't know what these trees are, but they're in Fremantle. I took about 20 photos of them as there were so many different parts to them - cabbage leaves, asparagus type spears, peppercorn branches and fig shaped fruits. Coulda stood there for hours!
Potpourri roses - no more drying in bags and then mixing, you can pick them straight off the bushes as is lol. And no it's not my garden as my rose bushes don't like giving flowers. Bring on pruning season!
Saw this little one at Hyde Park after work. I was drawn to the pram bcos it looked so old fashioned and I thought it was excellent reuse, recycle, but it's probably a very expensive new one!
Officer I really haven't got the DTs, there was a fairy, see! PS. I had to crop this image taken at the Uni Tavern, because I couldn't remember whether I asked the young lady's permission to publish or not.
